Decisions decisions

Today is my brothers 21'st birthday so congratulations to him. Hurray!
What i didn't mention in the first post was that on that day the cast on my broken hand came off. I broke my hand three weeks earlier in a fight with above mentioned brother. I'm not much of a fighter, which was made abundantly clear here. Note to self: don't punch people, you don't have the slightest clue as to what you're doing.

So i had a cast for three weeks, i couldn't play at all during the first week but then i had the cast replaced with like a glass fiber cast, which was much more light weight and after modifying it slightly with a pair of scissors and a nail file i could play again, though not very well.
But now it's off and i can play 100% again which is nice.

I'm still trying to decide on whether to get this shaman up or not. I used a 10 day guest pass and got her to the xp cap (1 xp under lvl 61) and leveling with shit gear isn't fun. Also, i'm not sure how it would work out for the team setup-wise. We would probably have to recruit a new priest,
presumably Penicillin who used to play in Full Patàge. He is a good and friendly player so if he joined it would probably work out well.
I'm getting bored with playing priest and something new would be good, although playing the shaman actively would probably not happen until season 3 or something when i have gathered enough gear to not be a free kill, it's good to have a project now that I'm an unemployed loser living with my parents (yeah, maybe getting a job would be a better idea). I just graduated and I will probably start studying again this fall so don't look at me like that. :D

Anyway, i have to think about this. I have not upgraded the account for BC yet but i have a copy sitting right here that i bought two days ago. If i decide to level it i have a LOT of work to do, leveling it, farming honor/heroics/kara and what have you. And somewhere in the back of my head i know that every time have switched char because i got bored of playing priest (rogue, warrior) i have gone back to good ol' Chidorii. I don't know what to do.

Que sera, sera i guess.

03:37 Small Update:

I decided to go ahead and level the Shaman and i hit 62 before calling it a day.
On another note, Dassan finally got his last Nether Vortex and made himself a Stormherald today, though since Eldpojken is going away for a couple of days and Esko is working, we can not play for two days. Lucalo is benched because of constant internet problems. Gives me time to focus on the shaman i guess!

PS. Thanks to Drifting for helping with some elite quests and to Relinquish for farming honor for me. :>

Last day of the Week

Just like we do every Tuesday, we got together and played some games today. We played war/pal/priest/lock/drood for the first time and it went pretty well. We lost some games vs a bloodlust/lock/spriest nuke team and one of the only teams with a decent hunter in our BG, who kept spamming snake trap which when coupled with the shaman's rank 1 ES spamming really messed up Fontaine's healing. We won more than we lost vs both of them though.
Dassan hadn't slept more than like 6 hours in the last two days so he wanted to go to bed, and as the supportive and friendly group of pals we are we didn't let him.

We were at like 1970~ rating which put us at #1 in our battlegroup, but instead of stopping like maybe we should have, we kept playing and lost 24 rating to some team, i can't recall which one. We beat them and took back like 11 or something, but then we came up against take random, a 2xWarrior/priest/pal/sham team.

Double warrior with 2-3 healers seems to be more popular than ever, it feels like 50% of the teams we come up against run some version of double warrior (even met one with a doomkin, which was freakin awesome, of course). Take random are different for a couple of reasons. First, the warriors are good, which is uncommon in these kinds of teams. Both of them play gnome females wielding Stormherald's, which as you can probably guess packs one hell of a punch.
We figured we'd go for the priest, since obviously we can't go for one of the warriors, the shaman is hella tough and the paladin will never go down +get's infinite mana with two healers on him and it leaves their priest free to mana burn.

The map for both games was Ruins of Lordaeron. They put one warrior on me and one on Eldpojken. Barri, their priest, didn't' have to heal himself except when his shadow tree was pummeled so he kept burning Glas and Fontaine, and they couldn't really dodge since Glas has to juggle roots and cyclone on both warriors and Fontaine has to keep in LOS of me and Eld.
In the first game their priest wen't down first, but at that point all healers on our side were low on mana while their healers could rotate drinking throughout the whole game. The end game power of double warrior which i often saw while playing with Testify really shone through here and they won the game.

Second game was pretty much the same, but i got less counter burns off on Barri and their damage was way more intense through the whole game, and they got both first and last blood. We lost 16 in the first game and 14 in the second, leaving us at 1929 rating i think.

Take random has an incredible record with like one loss this season, and they had similar last season (we took them twice in a row the first time we met them, when their record was something like 46 - 2 iirc). With all these noob teams running the easy to play line ups (2x warr, lock/spriest nuke etc) it's easy to forget just how powerful it can be when really good players run cheesy setups. It's like giving cheat codes to a pro gamer.

Hear yee, hear yee!

Hello. This is Chidorii, undead priest of Vashj-EU. I thought i might start my own PvP-blog since it seems to be the trend these days. Perhaps I should start by telling you MILLIONS of readers that are bound to read this a little about myself. My name is Johan, i live in Sweden and today i turn 19. As I said I play a priest called Chidorii in the 5v5 team calle Tarmed and i belong to a PvP guild named Le Damàge. I have been playing priest since i got the game, shortly after release. On level 60 i did a lot of pve playing shadow priest from BWL to Naxx.

Season one i played in three different teams. Started out not playing 5v5 at all, but after a while me and my friends Murph (warrior) Esko (hunter) and Glasmastarn (druid) joined a team of russians called Comedy Club. We were pretty bad, zero communication etc but managed to beat some top rated teams anyway. Our rating was at ~2k when i got the offer to join a higher rating team of high profile PvP'ers on my server called Testify. Since we were hardly playing and no one took it seriously i took the offer. We played a setup of 2xWarrior/Mage/Pala/Priest. This team had way better communication and more experienced players and we ended up qualifying for the next tournament stage with a rating of about 2385.

Our mage decided he didn't want to play the game anymore, and also had some problems with his connection. Because of this we didn't get to play one single game on the tournament server, but i really wasn't that upset, partly because i understood the mage's (Drifting) situation, and partly because i didn't really dig the atmosphere in the team. I had already started making plans for the team i play in today.

Esko, Glasmastarn, Murph and me we're going to make a new team together with a good friend of ours, Fontaine, who plays a paladin. He had been playing with IRL friends in a high rating team called Full Patàge, but after they tilted their rating just before the qualification date the whole team bar Fontaine lost the will to play. So we created Tarmed.
We have had quite a few members come and go. We started out playing the "power trip" setup of Mage/Hunter/Warrior/Priest/Pala, but our mage (Zantha, the mage from Full Patàge) eventually got tired of playing and stopped showing up which really screwed us over since this was in a patch where mages were invaluable because of counterspell imbalance etc. We also had an under geared elemental shaman at the time, but he stopped playing too. Won't go on about this, but we've gone through our fair share of players which hasn't really allowed us to perform at the level we should.

Our biggest problem is usually getting a decent setup online, we've been forced to play tri-healer (druid/pal/priest) with warrior/mage which is terrible, or tri-healer with warrior/hunter which is decent. Lots of back and forth, quitters, joiners, stand-ins etc. You get the picture, it's been a mess.
Anyway. We now have the following players: Fontaine (Paladin) Chidorii (Priest) Esko (Hunter) Lucalo (Mage) Dassantwo (Warrior) Glasmastarn (Druid) Eldpojken (Warlock).

I think that we finally have a line up that we can play consistently and perhaps get good with. But changes might still come, you never know. I for one am getting a bit tired of playing priest, and i have my eyes on my brothers retired level 60 shaman. So there it is, the introduction. We'll see if i continue this.

PS. I always forget to write "I" instead of "i" and i cba correcting them all, so bear with me.
